Family Escapes Burning Home

KENT, Wash. —

Three people were treated at a hospital for smoke inhalation after they escaped from their burning home in Kent early Tuesday morning.

Firefighters said a smoke alarm alerted the family at about 1 a.m.

All three family members got out safety by climbing out a back window, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.

The family will stay in a hotel until they can move back into the home.

Firefighters had to remove parts of the floor to put out the fire.

There was no immediate information about the cause of the fire or an estimate of damage.
