LAKE STEVENS, Wash. —

The father of a 15-year-old girl who was killed by a hit-and-run driver is asking for help in finding the person behind the wheel.

Rob Trickler said his daughter Heather was apparently walking home to Lake Stevens Saturday night when she was struck along the Highway 2 trestle east of Everett.

Trickler is asking anyone who may have seen his daughter hit to call police and hopes the hit-and-run driver will come forward.

"Accident or not, it's been a week now and it's time for somebody to own up to this," Trickler said.

The State Patrol believes Heather was hit by a late 90s GM pickup or SUV. It was damaged on the passenger side. They've collected some pieces, but so far, they haven't led to the driver.

"I don't want to go on the rest of my life wondering what happened to my sweet pea," Trickler said. "I want to know."

Anyone wanting to contribute to the Heather Trickler Memorial Fund can go to any Bank of America branch.
