Fight With Man's Boyfriend Leads To SWAT Response

SEATTLE —

A West Seattle man is facing domestic violence charges Friday after police said a fight with his boyfriend escalated into a full-scale SWAT team response Thursday afternoon, reported KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.

Chopper 7 was over the scene Thursday as police fired tear gas rounds into a house.

The man emerged peacefully shortly after, police said.

According to the man’s boyfriend, Terry Wendt, the incident began with an argument over a lawnmower.

“First he threw something at me, and then he threw a brick through the back windshield of my car then proceeded to throw bricks through the rest of the windows,” said Wendt.

Wendt said the man used an ax to damage his red BMW and said he’s been trying to break up with the man for months and had obtained a court order to keep him away, but then let him back into the house.
