Fire Destroys Home In SeaTac

SEATAC, Wash. —

Flames shot from a waterfront home during the night in a blaze that destroyed the house in SeaTac overnight.

Two residents who were inside when the fire broke out got out safely.

Fire Chief Bob Meyer says it was started by a chimney fire that began at 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

Flames spread into the attic and quickly burned the shake roof.

Firefighters from several agencies battled the flames for hours throughout the night.

Damage is estimated at $1,000,000.
