Fire Erupts In Hay Barn South Of Everson

Near EVERSON, Wash. —

Fire crews worked to douse flames after a fire erupted in a hay barn south of Everson Thursday morning.

Crews had to remove the hay from the Whatcom County building to stop the fire from progressing.

Video showed a tractor scooping piles of sodden hay as firefighters continued to soak the building.

KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Jeff Dubois said the owner of the barn told him no animals were hurt.

Investigators will work to determine the cause of the blaze.
