The firefighter was jogging with a crew member when a car pulled in front of the men along Evergreen Way and 92nd Street. The driver was apparently heading into an auto shop.

One of the men reportedly tapped on the trunk of the car to signal to the driver he was running behind the vehicle.

The driver became enraged and chased down the jogger. He was thrown up on the hood into the windshield. The car sped away.

The firefighter who was struck flew into the air and rolled off the hood of the car.

He suffered minor injuries and was treated at a hospital then sent home to recover.

Police said they are looking for a bright blue 1996 to 1998 model year Ford Mustang. It may have damage to the hood and the driver's side of the windshield.
