FORKS, Wash. —
Forks police are investigating the death of a man who was found after neighbors heard gunshots late Thursday night.
Police said officers responding to several 911 calls of shots fired found a man in his 30s lying facedown in the roadway in the 100 block of Campbell Street. The victim was taken to Forks Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:48 p.m.
Witnesses said two men fled the scene in a black or blue Chevrolet Blazer with a Washington license plate that included the number 827.
The name of the victim, a Forks resident, is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, police said.
