Fourplex Burns In North Seattle



SEATTLE —

Fire crews battled a fire at a fourplex in north Seattle Monday morning.

Half the building in the 11300 block of Corliss Avenue North near Evergreen-Washelli Cemetery was destroyed.

Video from Chopper 7 showed fire crews on the ground and roof of the building.

Firefighters cut multiple holes in the roof as smoke and flames poked through portions of the roof.

One corner of the building's roof was charred and destroyed.

Six residents, four adults, one child and one baby, were displaced by the fire. They are receiving help from the Red Cross.

Fire investigators are working with detectives from Seattle Police Department Arson and Bomb Squad to determine the cause of the fire.

Chopper 7 responded at about 7:30 a.m.
