Graffiti Vandals Strike In West Seattle

Juveniles Seen Spray-Painting Vehicles, Fences

SEATTLE —

Two suspects have been arrested and Seattle police are trying to track down as many as seven more in the worst vandalism spree officers say they've ever seen.

Costly And Ugly Crime Spree

At least 14 West Seattle residents were victimized early Wednesday morning by the vandals, police said.

The vandals left their marks all over a neighborhood known as Puget Ridge, tagging cars, trucks, RV's and fences.

Jeanette Post left home Wednesday morning completely unaware she, too, had been hit.

"When I left for work, a lady down the street ... her car was just a mess, a mess. And all I thought to myself was gosh, I'm glad that didn't happen to my motor home."

But she soon got the bad news and saw spray-painted messages on her brand new motor home.

"We've only had it for about two weeks, so ... I'm just shocked," she said.

Police say an eyewitness spotted nine juveniles committing the crimes between 2 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.
