Greenwood Rape Suspect Accused In Other Attacks, Robberies

SEATTLE —

The man accused of abducting and raping a North Seattle woman is also the suspect in at least two other attacks on women and in three robberies at north end businesses, police sources told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.

Jose Primitivo Jimenez-Lopez declined to appear in court Thursday but a judge nevertheless set bail at $1 million.

The robberies occurred in February at three businesses in the Crown Hill and Greenwood areas. Police described the businesses as "Hispanic," the police sources said.

A clerk at one of the Crown Hill businesses that KIRO 7 believes is one of the ones connected to Jimenez-Lopez said that the masked robber she encountered hit her in the head with a gun. She said police informed her of the link to the Greenwood attack. She also said that the robber had been a regular in the store before the robbery and even showed up again afterward.

The source said one of the attacks on the women came several days after last week's abduction.

Police have not identified a second suspect in the abduction in which two men dragged a woman into a car, raped and beat her, then later dropped her off near Green Lake.

Police said Jimenez-Lopez was carrying a gun and cocaine when he was arrested.
