SEATTLE —

Police are searching for a group of armed robbers who have hit five businesses in King County in the past two weeks, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.

In the most recent robbery on Monday, surveillance video showed armed, masked men entering a Madison Valley grocery store and beating a clerk with a gun.

The robbers then turned over the register and stole money before running out of the store.

Police said the men are believed to have committed robberies at a south Seattle store on Dec. 14 and Dec. 26, a White Center grocery store on Dec. 26 and a Burien store on Dec. 22.

In each robbery, armed, masked men entered a store and beat clerks in the head with pistols.

Investigators with the King County sheriff's office, Seattle police and Kent police are comparing notes to see if there are other cases.
