Eligible women can walk into eight local pharmacies, fill out a questionnaire, get their weight and blood pressure checked, and discuss their medical histories with pharmacists.

It's all part of a University of Washington study.

If it's a success, more pharmacies could offer contraceptive drugs without a doctor's prescription.

Some Fred Meyer and Bartell Drug stores are participating.

Participating Fred Meyer stores include Capitol Hill, Covington, South Hill and Totem Lake locations.

Participating Bartell Drugs stores include Queen Anne, University Village, Redondo and downtown locations.
