4-year-old, 2 women hurt in U-District car-pedestrian crash

SEATTLE —

A 4-year-old boy and two women have been injured in a car-pedestrian accident in the University District.

 

Police said a silver 2002 Toyota Prius struck the three at 3:25 p.m. at Northeast 50th Street and University Way Northeast.

 

The 4-year-old was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.  The boy's mother and another woman, both in their 30s, were taken to Harborview, also with injuries that are not life-threatening, Seattle  police said.

 

The boy's sister was not hurt in the collision but was taken with her mother to the hospital.

 

Chopper 7 video showed medics loading victims into ambulances.  Traffic in the area was affected.

 

Police are investigating.
