Investigators Rule West Seattle Fire Arson

SEATTLE, Wash. —

Investigators are ruling a fire that was burned a West Seattle home as arson.

Firefighters found fires in three places -- two bedrooms and the kitchen -- at the home, the Fire Department's Kyle Moore said.

A man in his 30s was hurt in the house fire in the 7100 block of 39th Ave SW Tuesday morning, the Fire Department said.

A firefighter also suffered minor burns.

The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition, and the firefighter suffered burns to his ears that Moore said were minor.

The fire is now a criminal investigation and Seattle Police will take over the case, says Moore.

Moore says the fire caused $75,000 damage to its structure and $30,000 to its contents.
