Jewelry Courier Robbed On Eastside

BELLEVUE, Wash. —

A jewelry courier was robbed at gunpoint by three men in the parking lot of a McDonald's restaurant in Factoria on Thursday morning, police said.

Police said the men fled with the jewelry and were spotted by a detective in an unmarked car who saw the vehicle near Interstate 90 and followed it as it got onto the freeway going east.

Bellevue and Issaquah police units pulled over the vehicle near Exit 27 near Snoqualmie Pass and arrested the three men, police said.

Detectives and a police dog searched the scene for discarded evidence, police said.

Chopper 7 video showed police examining a white mini near Exit 27. Chopper 7 video also showed a green sport utility vehicle in the parking lot of the Factoria McDonald's with its doors opened, surrounded by crime scene tape.

Police said the destination of the courier, the value of the merchandise and the identities of the suspects are under investigation.
