Kent house fire injures firefighter

KENT, Wash. —

A firefighter was injured Friday afternoon while extinguishing a house fire, according to the Kent Fire Department.

 

The fire happened at a home in the 11600 block of Southeast 192nd Street.

 

The first report of the blaze came in at 1:44 p.m. and crews from the Renton and Kent fire departments responded to the scene.

 

While containing the flames, a Renton firefighter suffered a minor burn and was taken to a local hospital.

 

No one was inside the home during the time of the fire.

 

The homeowner was contacted and fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
