SEATTLE —
King County and municipalities have opened severe weather shelters Sunday for the homeless due to cold weather and snow in the forecast.
The overnight shelters can also found on the King County’s website for updated information as conditions change:

7:00 a.m. Shelter closes; clients must vacate
Separate areas for men, women, and families. It is safe and confidential. As with all shelters, rules for the health and safety of all clients
and staff and the broader community will apply.
The shelter will be operated by Catholic Community Services staff, and volunteers from Harambee Church and the Renton community.
Note: City of Kent’s cold weather shelter will be open beginning on Sunday, January 15, 9:00 p.m. To access the Kent shelter on Sunday,
Renton individuals will need to go to the Police Watch Desk window to request transportation as has been done in the past.

Hours of operation: 9:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
The emergency weather shelter serves adult men and women. Open access - no referral forms required.
