Kirkland Man's Death Investigated As Homicide

REDMOND, Wash. —

Police are investigating the case of a Kirkland man who was found dead in his apartment as a homicide.

The body of John Schouler, 23, was found by a roommate on Sept. 14, police said.

The medical examiner's office said Schouler died from head trauma.

Initially, police called it a suspicious death, but the details surrounding it weren't initially clear to detectives, authorities said.

Without releasing any additional details, police said they have served a search warrant in the Northeast King County District Court in Redmond and have two people of interest in what is now a murder investigation.

Police declined to comment any further.

Results of what investigators found should be released next week.
