SEATTLE — The outcome of the political races won’t be known for a few days but in the local race for the top news station at 11 p.m. Monday through Friday, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News is the clear winner in key demos. In the October ratings period just ended, KIRO 7 is also #1 in all of late-night news Monday through Friday, out-delivering all other stations in the key adults 25-54 demo. In addition, KIRO 7’s 11 p.m. newscast is the only late newscast to show growth year-to-year.

"This is all about giving Western Washington viewers what they want,” said Eric Lerner, KIRO-TV vice president and general manager. “We did a great job covering major news, giving viewers a clear and easy to understand forecast and not wasting their time."
