SEATTLE —

KIRO 7 Eyewitness News took home three honors at the 48th Annual Northwest Emmy Awards on Saturday.

KIRO 7 Anchor Angela Russell won in the News Anchor category and Meteorologist Sam Argier was named best Weather Anchor. KIRO 7's special Taking Care of Mom and Dad won in the topical documentary category.

"It's still sinking in and my little girls are so excited," Russell said. "They took a picture of an Emmy for show and tell. I'm very honored. I still have more work to do though...new stories to tell, and new challenges to conquer!"

"With so many talented broadcast meteorologists in the Northwest, this is a tremendous honor," Argier said. "It means so much to be recognized by my peers. I couldn’t have achieved this without the support from my family and the incredible team I work with each day at KIRO 7."

You can see the full list of winners over on the Northwest Emmys website.
