LYNNWOOD, Wash. —

The Everett Police Department, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department and a SWAT team were serving a search warrant Friday afternoon to a house near Lakeview Road and 4th Avenue on Martha Lake near Lynnwood.

According to the Everett PD, it took 18 hours for the crimes unit detectives to finish the search of the home, and completed the search around 8:30 a.m.

Police said officers found people inside the home but were not willing to come out and cooperate. Tactical teams stayed at the scene overnight to convince the people inside to come out.

The police served the search warrant because they believe stolen property from a recent home invasion may be inside the house, according to police.

Neighbors told KIRO 7 that the house was a rental home.

According to police, they had enough information to warrant calling in the SWAT team and they set off flash bangs to get whoever was inside out of the house.

The neighborhood was blocked off Friday, and residents were asked to stay inside their homes but it was not mandatory.
