Group Holds Rally In Support Of Viaduct

SEATTLE —

Supporters of a new elevated highway to replace Seattle's Alaskan Way Viaduct held a rally Monday morning to raise awareness among commuters.

Members of the group No Tunnel Alliance gathered at First Avenue and Seneca Street to urge people to vote against the hybrid tunnel option in the March 13 advisory election.

They said a tunnel would be too costly and an elevated structure would be more affordable.
