EVERETT Wash. —

The woman who claims to have had a 6-year affair with Snohomish County Executive Aaron Reardon is talking about their supposed affair.

Tamara Dutton told The Seattle Times she often visited Reardon at his Everett office.

Dutton said she has plane tickets, telephone records, Facebook and text messages that show how her affair with Reardon happened largely during the workday and on business trips across the country.

Washington State Patrol detectives are looking into whether Reardon misused county funds.

Dutton told the Times the two met weekdays at hotels, Reardon's office, at the home of a friend of Reardon's or at her house.

Dutton also said she went on business trips with Reardon during which he did little, if any, county work.

A source close to the investigation told the Times if misuse of public money is found, it could lead to felony charges.

KIRO 7 Eyewitness News talked to Reardon in November when the allegations first came to light.  At that time, he was locked in a tough re-election campaign.

"I have no doubt in my mind that these allegations have been made by someone in my opponent's campaign or a supporter of my opponent,” said Reardon.

Three months later, the investigation has broadened into whether Reardon and his staff campaigned from his office during the workday, which is illegal.

On Wednesday morning, Reardon issued a new statement.

"I am innocent of all criminal accusations and am confident I will be fully exonerated," he said. "Out of deference to the integrity of the investigation, I am reserving my right to comment until the State Patrol has concluded its review."
