PUYALLUP, Wash. —

Some people in Puyallup are asking the mayor to resign after allegations by two women that he inappropriately touched them.

At a City Council meeting Tuesday night, a second woman stepped up publicly for the first time, saying Puyallup Mayor Rick Hansen touched her inappropriately.

Hansen first faced accusations last week that he touched an employee’s shoulder in a flirtatious way and made inappropriate comments.  That employee said that several days after that incident, Hansen put his hands on her hips.

Tuesday night, a former City Council employee said the mayor grabbed her shoulders and shook her back and forth before a City Council meeting last year.

“I just hope that you learned from your education. Moving forward, personal boundaries – it made me uncomfortable,” said former employee Nicole Martineau.

The mayor apologized at the meeting.

“I am truly sorry and embarrassed.  I assure you this type of incident will not occur again,” said Hansen.

A report details the allegations against the mayor.

The city spent $1,700 on an awareness class for Hansen.

The all-male City Council voted Tuesday to admonish the mayor, but some members of the public said they want Hansen to resign.
