MARYSVILLE, Wash. —
A death investigation is under way after a man and a woman were found dead inside a Marysville home Friday morning.
At 9 a.m. police received a call from an 82-year-old man who said he believed his wife and grandson were dead in the living room of his home in the 5900 block of 64th Street.
When police arrived they found the man's 69-year-old wife and his 26-year-old grandson dead.
The man told police that the grandson had recently moved from Florida into his grandparent's home. According to the grandfather, the grandson had mental health issues and was not taking his prescribed medication.
"We are in the very early stages of a death investigation; with lots of questions that still need to be answered. Because of the unanswered questions we cannot speculate as to what has occurred, however, we do believe strongly this is not a random act of violence and that there is no immediate threat of danger to local residents,” said Marysville police Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux.
