Luring Suspect Arrested

Kent, Wash. —

A 15-year old girl snapped a photo of a Kent man who was trying to lure her into his car Monday night, according to the Kent police department.

While walking along a residential street on Kent’s east hill, the victim ran into a 44-year old man that tried to lure her into his vehicle.

The individual stayed calm enough to take a picture of the man’s license plate with her cell phone. She later identified him in a photo lineup.

The King County Prosecutor's Office is expected to file felony luring charges against the suspect.

“This young lady had a clear memory of the suspect and took a photo of his license plate,” said Detective Tim Ford. “She is to be commended for staying safe and getting the information needed to get this criminal off the street."
