SEATTLE —

A 26-year-old transient pleaded not guilty Thursday to rape in connection with the attack on an elderly Kirkland woman.

Moses Kelly was arrested in Redmond the day after Christmas.

Prosecutors say that in October, Kelly followed the woman from a bus stop and pushed his way into her Juanita home, where he raped her.

Investigators were able to obtain a warrant for Kelly's arrest after DNA evidence gathered from the Oct.25 attack came back as a match to Kelly, police said.

Police released a photo of Kelly on Dec. 26.  Several hours after the photos were released, officers in Redmond spotted Kelly in front of a gas station and took him into custody on a felony warrant.

Kelly is being held pending $1 million bail.
