Man Dead, 2 Girls Hurt South Seattle Crash



SEATTLE —

A 50-year-old man was killed after a truck and a car collided head-on at a south Seattle intersection Thursday morning.

The crash occurred at Martin Luther King Jr. Way and East Jefferson Street.

Three people who were in the car were transported to the hospital where the man was pronounced dead.

According to a spokesman for the Seattle fire department, two other passengers were injured. A girl about 10-years-old is in stable condition and another girl, about 4-years-old, is in serious condition.

The driver of the truck, John Levitt, was not hurt.

Police say the speeds of both vehicles will be part of the investigation.
