Man Fatally Shot In Port Orchard



PORT ORCHARD, Wash. —

The owner of a Port Orchard convenience store was fatally shot Thursday afternoon, and the alleged gunman was arrested, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.

Al Kono, the owner of PJ's Market on Hillsdale Road, was shot in the head. He was taken by helicopter to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he died.

The King County medical examiner's office is not immediately confirming the victim's identity.

The gunman fled but was soon captured, police said. KIRO 7 Eyewitness News video showed officers with guns drawn approaching the suspect's home.
