A computer check revealed addresses for Lee in Bothell, Bellevue, Kirkland and Sammamish.

Former neighbors in Bothell say the man moved to Southern California about three years ago.

Before the four-hour standoff began, the there were 1,900 employees in the building at the time, many of them just finishing their lunch.

When they learned there was a gunman in the building, many looked for conference rooms, away from windows.

Eventually they all were evacuated safely, including babies from a daycare, some wheeled out in cribs.

Police spent several hours negotiating with the hostage taker who was eventually shot and killed. The three hostages were not hurt.

Lee previously protested outside the building and was arrested last February and charged with disorderly conduct. He claimed the Discovery Channel promoted overpopulation, railed against programs promoting war, and said solutions should be found for global warming and pollution.
