Man In Wheelchair Fatally Shot



TACOMA, Wash. —

A man in a wheelchair was shot and killed Thursday morning in Tacoma and another man was wounded in the shooting on a street in the city's Hilltop neighborhood, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.

The victims of the shooting, which happened near South 15th and South M at about 4 a.m., were cousins.

Police spokesman Mark Fulghum said the wounded man was taken to St. Joseph's hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police are looking for a man seen running from the area.

Fulghum said the motive for the shooting is unknown, and he doesn't know why the men were in the street at the time.

Family members told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News the man who died was 28 years old and was paralyzed in a shooting several years ago.

The wounded man is in his early 20s. There was no information on his condition.
