Man Involved In Fatal Crash Released From Jail



SEATTLE —

An 18-year-old Newcastle man involved in a fiery fatal crash in Bellevue bailed out of jail Thursday night, hours after a judge set his bail at $100,000, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.

Police are investigating whether Sukhneet Singh Virk and a 16-year-old friend, Rishi Sodhi, were racing when Sodhi's car crashed and burned Wednesday afternoon on Coal Creek Parkway.

Police said witnesses reported the two drivers were speeding.

Virk is being investigated for vehicular homicide.

Formal charges have not yet been filed.

Friends told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News Sodhi was a 4.0 student who was in the Running Start program at Bellevue Community College.
