Man Killed In Wrong-Way Freeway Crash



ARLINGTON, Wash. —

Jason French, 33, was killed in a crash while driving southbound in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 early Tuesday morning in Snohomish County.

The State Patrol said French was driving a Suzuki car 5 miles north of the Arlington city limits when he collided at freeway speed head-on into a Volkswagen Jetta.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and passenger in the Jetta, a 40-year-old woman and a 34-year-old woman, were taken to the Colby Campus of Providence Medical Center in Everett. Both are from Sedro Woolley. Their injuries are not known.

The State Patrol is investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash.
