SEATTLE —
Clarence Perkins Jr., left Kent at about 9 a.m. Tuesday on his way to fix his car at a north Seatac home, Petersen said. After being told Perkins did not arrive at his destination, his family began searching for him.
Perkins drove himself to Canada, Petersen said. Since his license plate was flagged, he couldn’t get back into the U.S. and authorities called his family.
His family is going to pick him up.
Perkins lived in the area before, but now lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. He and his wife have been visiting her sister in Kent.
His family was worried because he has diabetes and is in the early stages of dementia, Petersen said.
