FEDERAL WAY, Wash. —

A confrontation aboard a Metro Transit bus led to a stabbing that left one man in serious condition and a suspect at large, police said.

Police spokesperson Cathy Schrock told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News that a Metro bus was pulling away from the transit center at about 6 a.m. when an argument between two men spilled into the street, where one man stabbed the other. The 30-year-old victim was transported by paramedics to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.

A police dog attempted to track the suspect from the scene without success. The assailant is described as a light skinned black male with reddish brown hair and a goatee. He was wearing baggy pants.

Police continue their investigation.
