PORTLAND, Ore. —

An Oregon woman and her young son missing since late last week were found Wednesday south of Seattle after FBI agents traced a phone call to an inn there, officials said.

Police Looking For Missing Mother, Son

Acting on tips, King County Sheriff's deputies and agents with the Seattle office of the FBI found Amanda Jones, her son, 18-month-old Justice Gallon, and Amanda's husband, Andrew Jones. They were staying at a motel in SeaTac.

Andrew Jones was taken into custody on outstanding warrants from Oregon in an unrelated case of domestic abuse, officials said.

It appeared that Amanda went willingly with Andrew, officials said, but the investigation was continuing.

Amanda Jones and Justice Gallon had been missing since Friday, when they were last seen at a babysitter's house in Longview, Wash.

They disappeared on the same day Andrew Jones, a British citizen, arrived from England. The couple had a history of domestic violence, said Officer Ira Swanson of the six-member Rainier Police Department.

Amanda Jones called relatives Wednesday to say she was okay and FBI agents traced the phone call to the SeaTac Inn, in the small town of SeaTac outside Seattle, kgw.com reported. Amanda Jones was not injured, said Rainier Police Chief Chip Hamilton. She was not held against her will, officials said.

Swanson said the couple married last May and have had a history of domestic violence in their short marriage. No restraining orders were filed, but Swanson said Andrew Jones went to England to avoid criminal charges related to the abuse.

Amanda Jones works at the Columbia County Courthouse and did not call in sick Monday or Tuesday. She was reported missing this week by her brother's wife, Annalisa LeBeouff of St. Helens.
