Rescuers told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News they found the car that had tumbled off an embankment below the Maple Valley Highway.

“The detective drove real slow and saw some messed-up bushes, got out, started looking and found the car,” Sgt. Dave Divis told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.

A rescuer said they broke open a window and were surprised to find her alive.

“It’s barely visible if you're looking -- you can't see the car from the road -- so just to see a little brush and know what you're looking for, those guys did a great job,” Divis said.

Tanya Rider, 33, was reported missing after she failed to return home following her overnight job Sept. 19 at Fred Meyer in Bellevue.

Rescuers told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Alison Grande that Rider answered to her name. Rescuers said they believe she was there the entire time she was missing.

Rescuers said they were searching the area because it's near a cell phone tower that was receiving a signal from her phone until the battery died

Chopper 7 video showed firefighters extricating the woman from the blue Honda Element she recently purchased.

Once extricated, Rider was taken by helicopter to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, troopers said.

Rider is in critical condition at Harborview and is undergoing tests to determine the extent of her injuries.

Rider’s husband and mother are at the hospital.

“Thank God! My prayers were answered; he answered my prayers,” Nancy Loe, Rider’s mother, told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.

Loe said police contacted her after finding Rider.

“I’m just grateful that she wasn’t dead or kidnapped or somewhere we didn’t know where she was, because we love her so much,” Loe said.
