SEATTLE —

A 33-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured Saturday evening in a crash, according to the Seattle Police Department.

The incident happened after 8 p.m. when a man on a Honda motorcycle was north and a driver in a Mazda was south on Dexter Avenue at Aloha Street.

Police said the two vehicles collided and the motorcyclist was thrown off and landed on pavement.

The motorcycle continued and struck a Honda Civic traveling southbound before it stopped.

The motorcyclist was treated by the Seattle Fire Department and taken to Harborview Medical Center with critical injuries.

Police said three women in the Mazda were treated at the scene and taken to Harborview Medical Center with minor injuries.

A drug recognition team responded to the scene, and all three drivers were evaluated for signs of impairment.

Police said it is not believed that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision.

Investigators responded to process the scene.
