SEATTLE —

Shots were fired after a large altercation in Belltown early Sunday morning and a man was arrested, according to the Seattle Police Department.

The incident happened when a bar on 1st Avenue and Blanchard Street was closing and a fight broke out in the parking lot on the east side of 2100 1st Avenue.

When Seattle officers working the anti-emphasis patrols were in the area, they saw a large fight disturbance in progress.

Police said someone in the crowd fired shots and the crowd scattered. After the incident, the officers saw several people get into a parked vehicle in the lot.

The officers stopped the vehicle and took six people into custody, according to police.

Witnesses pointed out to Seattle police that one of the six people in the vehicle was the shooter.

A 21-year-old man was arrested and booked into the King County Jail for weapons violations.

The car was impounded with a hold for the department’s gang unit.

No injuries were reported, and no property damage was found.
