CENTRALIA —

A 42-year-old Navy reservist

from Centralia died in Iraq on Thursday during an

ambush of a convoy carrying female U.S. troops in Fallujah.

The reservist was Regina Clark, who had

just gotten her retirement papers in May. She had an 18-year-old

son, Kerry Clark, of Centralia.

The suicide car bomb and ensuing small arms fire killed at least

four Marines. The military said yesterday that a Marine and a

sailor were missing and presumed dead. Eleven of the 13 wounded

troops were women.

Clark's son Perry said that the possibility of

losing his mother in Iraq was in the back of his mind because of

the situation she was in. He said he's not sure what he'll do now.
