Neighborhood Activist Sexually Assaulted



RENTON, Wash. —

A Renton Highlands woman was sexually assaulted in her home early Saturday morning after a man climbed through an open window.

The 59-year-old woman is a neighborhood activist and community volunteer.

The victim believes she was targeted because she keeps law enforcement informed when any drug activity takes place in her neighborhood.

The suspect broke into the house, attacked the woman as she slept on her couch and then stole her video camcorder.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6 feet tall and weighs 210 pounds, he was wearing a ski mask.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately.
