The stolen tools were in a Federal Way storage facility detectives searched Friday afternoon.

Prosecutors said robbers stopped Robert Shapel in his truck and taped a plastic bag over his head.

Police said Friday there may be more arrests in the case.

Two men arrested Thursday -- a 24-year-old Pierce County man and a 29-year-old man from King County -- were due to make initial court appearances in Tacoma.

The Pierce County prosecutor's office says it will wait until next week to file charges against the suspects.

Search Turns Up Evidence In Tool Salesman Murder Case

Robert C. Shapel, 55, vanished Tuesday while driving his route for Snap-on Tools. That night, his wife told investigators, a stranger called to say Shapel was being held hostage and demanded the personal identification numbers for his automated teller machine and credit cards.

Early Wednesday morning, loggers found Shapel's panel truck on fire on a dirt road about a mile north of State Route 706 near Alder Lake, about 10 miles west of Mount Rainier National Park.

Many of the tools were missing, and hours later investigators found Shapel's body.

"He was a dynamite guy, very charismatic," said Jeff Howe, a Snap-on branch manager who worked with Shapel for 23 years. "He always had a smile for everybody. Right now, our hearts our broken and our condolences go out to his family."
