A three-story, newly constructed home was destroyed in an overnight fire in Clyde Hill Wednesday.

Neighbors first noticed flames visible on the first floor of the house just after midnight and called 911.

According tothe  Bellevue Fire Department, crews had a difficult time finding the location of the fire  in the 8800 block of Northeast 28th Street, and had to run water hoses up a lengthy driveway to the house.

When crews arrived, they found the first floor fully engulfed in flames. During the fire, the second floor of the home collapsed but no one was injured. The fire was contained to the house.

Firefighters will stay at the house, putting out hot spots for much of the morning. The home, which was still under construction, is a total loss. Investigators do not yet have a cause but said the fire does not appear suspicious.
