No Contracts For Teachers In Shoreline, Issaquah

School is supposed to start in Shoreline next Wednesday, but teachers there are threatening to strike if they don't have a contract by Tuesday morning.

Teachers held an informational picket on Thursday.

The district said it has a deficit of $2 million, and doesn't have the money the teachers are demanding.

Next Wednesday is also supposed to be the first day of school in the Issaquah School District.

Talks are scheduled to continue Friday with Issaquah teachers, who don't have a contract yet.
