Officer Hurt In Queen Anne Crash

SEATTLE —

A Seattle police officer was hurt in a crash in Seattle’s Queen Anne Hill neighborhood while responding to a call Tuesday morning.

At about 8:52 a.m., a patrol car was responding with lights and siren to a burglary in progress in the 1900 block of Tenth Avenue West, police said.

Police said a gray Honda, driven by a 27-year-old woman, was traveling in front of the patrol car. As the police cruiser moved to the left into the southbound lane to go around the Honda, the Honda attempted to turn left into the path of the patrol car, Seattle police said.

The two cars crashed.

The male officer was transported to Harborview Medical Center with unknown injuries.

He had back pains while en route to Harborview, Seattle Police Spokesperson Mark Jamieson said.

The driver of the Honda was not hurt and was interviewed and released at the scene.
