PACIFIC COUNTY, Wash. —

A 54-year-old man was killed after being hit by a vehicle Saturday evening in Pacific County, troopers said.

 

According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened before 5:30 p.m. on State Route 103 and 227th Street about eight miles north of Long Beach.

 

A driver in a pickup truck was traveling southbound on SR 103 when a man was standing in the middle of the southbound lane.

 

Troopers said the driver did not see the pedestrian, and the pickup struck the pedestrian.

 

The man died at the scene of the crash.

 

According to State Patrol, it is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were involved.
