Pellets Fired At Cars In Olympia

OLYMPIA, Wash. —

Someone fired pellets into several cars in Olympia using a high-powered bb gun on Thursday, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.

At least three vehicles were hit at about 10 a.m. on State Street.

One pellet pierced the window of a Jeep Cherokee, narrowly missing a child strapped into a safety seat.

Investigators said they need help from the public to solve the case.

"We have nothing, no witnesses or anything, just people driving down the street and the window cracks or breaks," said Cmd. Tor Bjorstad of the Olympia Police Department.

Police are trying to determine whether the incidents could be connected to recent shootings that targeted downtown businesses.
