A masked and armed man robbed a Lake City store early Sunday morning, police said.

The robbery happened around 4:16 a.m. at a XXX theater-store in the 12700 block of Lake City Way Northeast.

According to police, a man with a bandana over his face walked into in the store and pointed a silver revolver at the clerk behind the counter.

The masked man demanded money and the clerk gave him the cash from the register.

The robber walked out of the front door and fled the scene northbound.

Officers responded to the location and searched the area, but could not find the robber, who remains at large.

Police said a party was going on downstairs, but people at the party were unaware of the robbery taking place.

Police described the robber as a Hispanic man in his mid-20s and about 5-feet 6-inches tall.

The robbery remains as an active and ongoing investigation.
