SEATTLE —

Police are actively searching for a man who robbed several people at gunpoint at an estate sale in a West Seattle home Thursday afternoon.

The home invasion happened in the 3400 block of Belvidere Avenue Southwest around 3:45 p.m.

Police said a masked man forced his way into the home and stole cash and jewelry from the people inside.

The man then fled the scene.

No injuries were reported.

Police received a report of gunfire during the robbery, but officers have not found evidence confirming shots fired.

Officers stopped a vehicle near California Avenue Southwest and Southwest Hanford Street and took a man into custody, but he was later released.
