MARYSVILLE, Wash. —

Marysville police officers are continuing the investigation of the death of a man whose body was found Friday morning at a RV park.

After 3 a.m., officers were dispatched to the death of an 82-year-old Marysville man. Police determined the death was likely a homicide and called in detectives.

On Friday evening, police were looking for the victim’s vehicle, which police described a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado with WA plate B03681A.

The victim’s vehicle was recovered around 10:45 p.m. in the 24300 block of 19th Avenue in Arlington, and it had been set on fire, said Marysville police commander Robb Lamoureux.

According to police, crews responded to an original report of a house fire, but when firefighters arrived, they found a burning vehicle.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene and discovered the vehicle was part of the investigation.

Detectives collected evidence that could be linked to the homicide.

The investigation will remain ongoing.
